To bus rider parents and guardians,
AVSTA has transitioned to a new student-transportation software called Wayfinder. Wayfinder offers integrated navigation tools that use scheduled bus routes to provide drivers with accurate, stop-by-stop directions. With Wayfinder comes Stopfinder, a new parent-portal app. Stopfinder is the easy to use, all-in-one smartphone app that allows you to have the most accurate information about your student’s bus schedule, in live-time. Within the app, parents and guardians can also send invites to other caregivers, such as extended family or baby sitters, to share their student’s schedule.
Parents, guardians, and authorized caregivers will be able to track their student’s transportation information and receive notifications relevant to their student’s route, such as delays or other changes in schedule. From the app, parents and guardians can also set up GeoAlert Zones for their students. These alert zones can be created anywhere on the map to receive notifications when your student’s bus arrives at, or departs from, that alert zone. ETA alerts can also be created and customized to send a notification when your student is a certain amount of time away from their stop.
Stopfinder can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play Store. Invitations will be sent out to parent email accounts durning the summer break, allowing them to create their account and log in to the app. Please keep an eye out on your email for this notification.
