To Bus Rider Parents and Guardians
AVSTA has transitioned to a new student-transportation software called Wayfinder. Wayfinder offers integrated navigation tools that use scheduled bus routes to provide drivers with accurate, stop-by-stop directions. Wayfinder also includes Stopfinder, a new parent-portal app. Stopfinder is an easy-to-use, all-in-one smartphone app that gives you the most accurate information about your student’s bus schedule in real time. In the app, parents and guardians can also invite other caregivers, such as extended family or babysitters, to share their student’s schedule.
Parents, guardians, and authorized caregivers can track their student’s transportation information and receive route-related notifications, such as delays or other schedule changes. From the app, parents and guardians can also set up GeoAlert Zones for their students. You can create these alert zones anywhere on the map to receive notifications when your student’s bus arrives at or departs from that alert zone. You can also create and customize ETA alerts to send a notification when your student is a certain amount of time away from their stop.
Stopfinder is free to download from the App Store or Google Play Store. We sent invitations with a Stopfinder link to current parent email accounts during the first week of school; the link is valid for thirty days. Downloading the Stopfinder App will allow parents to create an account and log in. If you missed or did not receive your invitation, call our receptionist at 661-945-3621.
